Our Investment Philosophy

Our investment philosophy has been cultivated through a combination of exhaustive research and years of experience managing our clients' portfolios.

Our Independent Advisors

As a Fiduciary Registered Investment Advisory Firm (RIA), our clients' portfolios are held at the custodian Fidelity Investments. Since 1946, Fidelity Investments has over 40 million individual investors, $11.1 Trillion in Assets Under Management, 22,000 business investors, 52,000 employees and has over 2.4 Million trades per day.

As an RIA, we are assigned as the Investment Advisor Representatives (IAR) to help manage our client portfolios.
We never hold our clients' assets in our possession or name as all funds are sent to Fidelity Investments directly under your specific account.

The foundation of our philosophy is built upon the following beliefs:

Market timing presents more risks than opportunities

A Portfolio's risk must coorelate with a person's emotional tolerance

Proper diversification can maximize returns relative to its measure of risk

Income and/or dividend play an important role in long-term performance

Investment fees are an important criterion in portofolio construction but not the ultimate deciding factor to keep a portfolio

Captive Advisors

A captive agent or advisor only works for one insurance or investment company. A captive agent is paid by that one company. Captive agents have the knowledge of a limited number of products from the company that employs them but cannot help a client who does not need or does not qualify for that company's products. That company may push its captive agents to sell certain investment products or policies or meet sales quotas which in turn sells something that is not in the client's best interest. Most advisors are captive.

Independent Advisors

An independent agent or advisor does not work for any particular insurance company. Independent agents can offer investments or insurance products from an array of companies.

This arrangement can be better for clients because the advisor can seek out the best solution for that client's needs.
